We have just been alerted about this theft (we're the people from the Maid Café who have the T-shirts on display [link] ).
First of all, we are deeply saddened by this discovery, we just started doing business with Koi and immediately asked about this issue. The owner promptly told us that a few months back (Koi is only 2 years old) they found out there was a Copyright infringement with one of the shirts, when they found out they started checking up on the designer responsible for this and it seems he had stolen more art like that... Unaware at first that some of the art was not original they printed them but swiftly took them off the shelves.
We have been told, none of the shirts that made it to our Maid Café are stolen, nevertheless, to make things right, we feel obligated to post each and everyone of the models we have so as to make sure there haven't been any more leaks.
And to all those nice racist people like Spidermanwhatever, get a life, or even better, try to get a life in a sucky country like ours and then call Mexicans lazy... anyway, living in this craphole is NO REASON to break the law. So we'll be happy to help sort out this mess and make things right.
Koi doesn't know why their site is down (it was up a couple of days ago), we'll try to find out and keep you posted.
Thanks to everyone who care to look into this and don't worry, despite what some morons may think, not all non-US citizens are thieves and/or terrorists...
And regarding the e-mail you got from Koi, I know for sure that one of the shops has closed (we were even offered to buy all the mannequins and shelves), I don't really know if the other two are still open.
The one that closed was in Toluca (near Mexico City), the other two I really have no idea where they are. We, the Maid Café, is located in Monterrey (about a 100 miles South of Texas) and like I said, I will personally post all the shirts we have, and will take down each and every one that might still turn out to be art theft.
We just me the owner a few weeks back and their other brand "Ay Güey!" is doing great, they even get a lot of TV attention because of their success, we trust them and I think they'll do their best to set things straight as well. ^^

I think people didnt get it, the oshimai cafe is not stealing art from other people, they only sell this company shirts that uses the art, i'm sure they at the cafe dont even know about it, so you should complain to the company S: not here
You got it just right, we just found out and we're trying to sort things out, we're even willing to pay royalties to the author since the shirts on the original post are lovely but we never even got those. Don't worry, it's gonna be fine thanks to DA. ^^
